The Northumberland LINk is pleased to announce that it has been successful in its bid to become a HealthWatch pathfinder.

In March of last year, all LINk’s in the country were invited to make a submission to become a HealthWatch pathfinder by the Department of Health.

Northumberland LINk submitted a proposal which will focus on identifying what independent complaints advocacy service is required for Northumberland, with particular consideration given to its unique and challenging geography and demographics.

The outcomes of this work will then be shared with other LINks in preparation for the introduction of HealthWatch in October 2012.
