GP Out of Hours service Research
Northumberland LINk is conducting some research about people’s experiences of using the GP Out of Hours service. The findings of this research will be used in our work to improve health and social care services in Northumberland.

Next Northumberland LINk Open Meeting
The next LINk Open meeting is on Wednesday 15th February 2012 at St Mary’s Church Hall, Thornhill Road, Ponteland, NE20 9PZ, from 1.30 until 3.30. Registration and lunch will be provided at 1.00 before the meeting.

Prostate Cancer Charity Survey
The Prostate Cancer Charity need your help to build a picture of what quality care looks like for men with prostate cancer. You can help by telling them what quality prostate cancer care means to you by taking part in our survey. Anyone with experience of prostate cancer is welcome to take part, whether you have been diagnosed with the disease or are a friend or family member of someone who has.

Network for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender people in Northumberland
A small group has been meeting to develop a network for Lesbian, Gay Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) people, who want to play an active part in improving the experience of being LGBT in Northumberland. The group is supported by the Northumberland Community Development Network as part of its equality programme and is run by and for LGBT people.

Carers Federation update
The Carers Federation are currently informing all their Stakeholders and Clients of a new FREEPHONE Number 0808 802 3000 through which clients can access their service free of charge, including free calls from mobiles and currently provide support for NHS complaints advocacy which is free, independent and confidential. This development has come as a result of Client feedback and ongoing commitment to make their service as accessible as it can be.
