• Monthly Regional LINks Host meetings: The last meeting was held by Northumberland LINk Hosts at NCDN on Tuesday, 1st September. Each LINk Host takes a turn to hold a meeting in their area where all the LINk Hosts in the Region meet to network and exchange information. The next Regional LINks meeting is on 6th October in South Tyneside.
• Promoting Northumberland LINk at:
• A Caring and Coping with Stroke event held at the Torch Centre, Hexham on Wednesday, 2nd September.
• Tynedale Community Development Network meeting on Wednesday, 9th September at Community Centre, Hexham.
• Warm Zone events at the Isabella Centre, Blyth on Thursday, 27th August and on Thursday, 10th September at Hirst Welfare Centre, Ashington. Northumberland LINk will also be promoted at another Warm Zone event on Thursday, 15th October near Amble, Northumberland.
• Choice and Control on the Ground two-day event on Wednesday, 16th September in Newbiggin and on Monday, 21st September in Ashington, provided by Northumberland Care Trust, promoting Northumberland LINk with a stand and LINk information.
• Hexham Older Peoples Forum on Wednesday, 30th September held at Hexham Community Centre.
• Celebrating Age Positively event on Thursday, 1st October at the Swan
Leisure Centre in Berwick upon Tweed.
• Northumberland LINk Annual Reports and Newsletters have been distributed to Doctors surgeries, Dentist and Libraries throughout Northumberland.
• The Northumberland LINk area meetings took place in the West on 15th September and in the North on the 17th September. The South East area meeting on 16th September was cancelled so that LINk members could attend the South East Northumberland Health Improvement Group (SENHIG) meeting. Northumberland LINk area meetings are starting to be linked to Health Improvement Group (HIMP) meetings, the North area has already linked to the Health Improvement group for that area.
